HIGH PROTEIN CARBONARA WITH TOFU BACON BITS



So creamy, so dreamy and super easy to make!

Approx 40g protein per serving.


🌸Recipe🌸


Tofu bacon bits (makes enough for two portions):

✨135g firm smoked tofu (@tofooco )

✨1 tsp liquid smoke

✨2 tsp tomato paste

✨4 tsp tamari/soy sauce

✨1/4 tsp garlic granules

✨1/4 tsp smoked paprika


👉🏼Chop tofu into small chunks or bacon like bits and mix all the rest of ingredients together in a separate bowl. Add that mixture to the tofu, making sure the tofu is well coated. Allow it to marinade for at least 15min.


👉🏼Fry the marinaded tofu with a little oil in a pan.


Carbonara sauce for one:

✨100g silken tofu

✨1 tbsp tahini

✨100ml unsweetened soya milk

✨1/4 tsp garlic granules

✨1/2 tsp liquid smoke

✨1.5 tbsp nutritional yeast

✨Salt + pepper


👉🏼Blend all ingredients together.


👉🏼Weigh out 75g spaghetti and cook accordingly then mix in cooked tofu and the blended sauce. I also like to add 60g frozen peas.


If the sauce gets thick, just add some water🥰
